The momentum of Futures Fortnight continued for Year 12 this week, with a packed schedule focusing on higher education pathways, leadership, and professional development.
Tuesday – University Course Webinars
On Tuesday, students joined specialised webinars run by six different universities. These sessions offered deep dives into the application processes for competitive courses including Law, Medicine, Psychology, and Engineering, helping the girls strategically prepare for their upcoming choices.
Wednesday – Mentoring the Next Generation
On Wednesday, girls caught a glimpse of their own not-so-distant past as they stepped up to mentor younger pupils during our Year 10 Sixth Form Experience Day. Year 12 students did a fantastic job helping to run subject lessons, offering warm encouragement, and welcoming Year 10 into the Sixth Form community with open arms.
Thursday – Masterclasses and Mock Interviews
Thursday shifted the focus toward career readiness with a series of dynamic workshops covering personal branding, CV building, and professional communication skills. Students also participated in mock interviews with visiting industry experts, receiving invaluable, real-world feedback to prepare them for the demands of the modern professional landscape.
Friday – University Fair
To round off an incredible fortnight, Friday was spent at the Emirates Stadium for a university and apprenticeship fair. This gave the girls a brilliant opportunity to expand their horizons, gain valuable insight, and explore the vast array of exciting routes and opportunities available to them.
