Double-Victory at the ESAA Track & Field Cup
Our athletics teams delivered a phenomenal performance at the prestigious ESAA English Schools’ Track and Field Cup. Competing against an incredibly strong field of local schools.
We are delighted to announce that we secured 1st place in both the Junior Girls and Intermediate Girls competitions.
Every athlete contributed valuable points to the team score, showing resilience and consistency across track and field events. Special mentions go to the following individual track results:
- Nahla B (100m): Recorded an excellent time of 13.2 seconds.
- Elliot A (300m): A well-paced and determined run, finishing in 44.1 seconds.
- Ava F (800m): Delivered a dominant run to win in 2:31.9.
- Charlotte B (1500m): A superb middle-distance performance, finishing in 5:18.9.
- Sophia A (1500m): A strong and composed run, clocking 5:34.2.
Cricket Highlights & Match Reports
National Schools Cricket Day
We joined hundreds of schools across the country to celebrate National Schools Cricket Day, with over 150 girls from the Junior and Senior schools participating. Students took part in catching and batting challenges designed to build skills and confidence. Prizes for the best individual year-group scores will be awarded next week.

Our squads have been busy putting their training into practice in their opening fixtures:
- U12 Squads vs Bromley High: A great afternoon of sport resulted in a fair outcome of 1 win and 1 loss. Special mentions go to Ffion for her precise bowling (nearly securing a maiden over) and to Thalia for her confident, aggressive running between the wickets.
- Hardball & Softball Block vs Bromley High: This fixture saw excellent integration across Years 7–10. In the hardball pairs game, Maeve hit a 4 in her first-ever hardball match, Matilda batted dominantly with three 4s and a 6, and Tabby bowled with great pace to claim 2 wickets. In the softball matches, Bess, Willow, and Lottie did a fantastic job encouraging and supporting the younger students.
- U14 B & C Teams vs Bromley: While both teams narrowly lost their matches, there were excellent individual highlights. Isabella R hit the first 6 of the season for the B team, Elodie O took the C team’s first wicket, and Kalypso S played a great attacking innings.
Athletics: Strong Performances Across the Region
In addition to the ESAA Cup, our athletes have been competing regularly in local meets and invitational events.
Croydon High School Open Meetings
- Years 7 & 8: We took over 40 athletes to this friendly but competitive meet, with many Year 7s trying events for the first time. Notable results included Imona (Y7) completing the 100m in 14.15 seconds, Bea (Y7) finishing the 70m hurdles in 14.14 seconds, and Flora (Y8) running a 14.5-second 100m. Ava also competed strongly in the 1500m.
- Years 9 & 10: Another productive day saw Nielle run the 100m in 14.13 seconds and Iris finish the 300m in 51.40 seconds. In the field, Imani cleared 1.30m in the high jump.
Midweek Festivals & Meets
- Year 7 vs Bromley High, Colfe’s & Blackheath: 27 girls took part in a promising meeting. One of our relay teams secured a 1st place finish, while Sophia won the 1500m with a resounding performance. Lexi T also impressed with powerful throws in the javelin, discus, and shot putt.
- Year 8 with Bromley High: 40 girls competed across multiple track and field events. Artemis received a special mention for her javelin throwing, and Mary B performed strongly in the sprint events.
Lewisham School Athletics Championships
We fielded four very strong teams from Years 7–10 at the Lewisham Championships. Competitors were limited to two events plus a relay. While we await the final official team placings, there were standout performances from Ava & Elliott (800m), Charlotte & Sophia (1500m), Bea (High Jump), Nahla (100m), and Kalypso (Shot Putt).
