Socrates Celebration Evening 2026

This week, we hosted our annual Socrates Celebration Evening, a wonderful culmination of all the hard work our Socrates Scholars have put in over the year.

The Socrates programme is a unique initiative designed to foster independent thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a love of learning. Aimed at pupils in Years 7 to 9, the programme is compulsory for our academic scholars, designed to stretch and challenge their minds, as well as being open to all pupils as an optional enrichment opportunity. It encourages participants to explore big ideas through lectures, guest speakers and a self led project, on a topic of their own choosing. This culminates in a creative final artefact and written reflection, helping them develop key  skills in research, communication, and critical thinking.

Now in its ninth year, the Socrates Programme continues to grow, with the quality of the projects and the level of inspiration reaching new heights. We are incredibly proud of all our scholars and look forward to seeing even more brilliant ideas and creative projects emerge in the years to come.
