Cricket Festival
Year 4 and 5 pupils enjoyed an exciting festival of cricket, run by our Senior School PE teachers. It was a fantastic opportunity for our girls to develop their skills, compete, and build a wonderful sense of confidence and community spirit alongside another school.
The afternoon started with a series of masterclasses, each focusing on the core cricket skills of bowling, batting, and fielding. The teachers were particularly impressed with the girls’ bowling technique and accuracy—resulting in several spectacular hit wickets!
After putting their refined skills to the test in a few practice games, the day finished with a thrilling, competitive match between the schools. Our pupils played with composure and superb teamwork—traits that led us to a brilliant victory!
A special mention goes to Ariana, named Batter of the Festival for her excellent technique and consistent contact with the ball.
Congratulations also to Nuri, voted Bowler of the Festival for her impressive power and consistently straight line.

U10 Cricket vs JAGS
Taking full advantage of the beautiful sunshine, Year 5 pupils headed to JAGS for a brilliant afternoon of cricket. The pupils were excited on the coach, already starting to discuss tactically with their teams.
Our A Team played a closely contested match, securing a hard-fought victory by 5 runs. A special mention goes to our Bowler of the Match Sadie for her consistent accuracy, which included a brilliant wicket caught cleanly behind the stumps by Luella. Batter of the Match was awarded to Zara for her powerful hitting, including both a 4 and a massive 6! The team’s fielding was equally sharp, including spectacular catches from Sadie and Florence. Well done, A Team!
The B Team faced a tough challenge. Despite the pressure, they kept their spirits high. Fielder of the Match went to Minnie for her quick reactions and accurate bowling. She made a fantastic catch that unfortunately landed just outside the boundary. Cece was named Batter of the Match for her impressive ball placement, power, and consistent contact.
Our C Team enjoyed a dominant performance, winning their game by an impressive 34 runs. It was wonderful to see the pupils applying their training and showing the progress they have made over the term. Congratulations to Batter of the Match Magenta, who smashed a fantastic 6, and to Poppy, who was voted Bowler of the Match for her superb technique and accuracy.
A huge well done to all of our Year 5 cricketers for a fantastic afternoon of sport!
