Our talented musicians from across the Junior and Senior School are celebrating an exceptional set of results in their recent ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) examinations, achieving a brilliant 100% pass rate.
In total, 79 pupils, ranging from Year 3 to Year 10, sat exams this Summer term, securing 7 Distinctions, 18 Merits, and 54 Passes across a diverse range of disciplines, including Recorder, Flute, Guitar, Piano, Violin, Singing, and Musical Theatre Singing, at Initial Grade, all the way up to Grade 7.
With over 200 weekly lessons delivered by our team of 15 specialist teachers, our thriving music department covers all orchestral instruments and voice. Through these weekly lessons, pupils gain far more than musical mastery, but they also develop their fine motor skills, cognitive focus and a deep sense of resilience.
From the quiet beginner learning to play their first notes to the budding performer commanding the room with a vibrant vocal solo, our music program provides an encouraging space for all pupils to build lifelong confidence, find their creative voice, and truly flourish.
