Assessments
11+ Entrance Assessments and Interviews (Year 7 entry)
11+ applicants will be invited to attend an Assessment Day on Wednesday 6 January 2027. The Entrance Assessment is designed to assess pupils’ academic potential and reasoning skills, including verbal, non‑verbal, spatial, and quantitative reasoning.
Alongside these standardised assessments, applicants will complete a short creative writing task and an observational extension activity.
All applicants will also be invited to attend an individual interview on Saturday 9 January 2027. This offers an opportunity for us to get to know your daughter. During the interview, she will be asked to talk about something she is proud of or particularly enjoys. Interviews last approximately 15 minutes and will be conducted by a member of our teaching staff.
In addition, we request a reference from each candidate’s current school, which forms an important part of the admissions process.
Assessments for Other Year Groups or Interim Year 7 Entry
Your daughter will be assessed differently according to the year she is applying for:
Years 7–9: Online assessments in Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non‑Verbal Reasoning, plus a creative writing task
Year 10: Online assessments in Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non‑Verbal Reasoning, plus creative writing. Recent school reports will be requested, and GCSE subject options will be considered.
She will also be interviewed by a member of our senior teaching staff.
